Now I need to move it back to the original computer and test again, which I can't do until tomorrow. It could be that ReFS is indeed the issue, which I'm leaning towards since I couldn't even change the format to ReFS on the 2nd computer. It could also be some other incompatibility with the USB-C hardware on the first computer too, but being that I have other external devices running at normal speeds on that computer that seems less likely. I'll report findings once I've ran that test.

Let me check with the store admin first. If there is a charge, we could refund it. But there should not be, from what I can see. 

• Do you have a Pi-hole, pfSense, AdGuard Home, or any similar network-level filter on your network?
• In the terminal.app, run: systemextensionsctl list - Save this as a text file as before, so we can check if there is  anything active you may have forgotten about.
• Also in terminal: profiles list   -  Save this as a text file also.
  Attach the two files. I think we can track down the root cause of this soon.

Before my subscription was cancelled by support to delete the old serial number, my renewal date for the 1 seat subscription was May 17th 2027.    Prior to downgrading, the 2-seat subscription renewal date was January 14th 2027, but when I downgraded to 1-seat, it extended the subscription to May 17th 2027.  I think the date was extended because I had paid $119.98 for 2 seats and a 1 seat subscription is $79.99 so the system applied the amount prorated to extend the one seat subscription.  

Just wanted to check if I should click "place order" to reactivate the subscription?  It looks like doing so may start a new subscription and result in charges today.  I wasn't sure if there needed to be some other modifications the billing team needs to make so when I go to the resubscribe page, it doesn't result in charges today and the date shows I'm paid through May 17th 2027.

It looks like it is fixed, but you need to check. Your SR8 is your license. if you log into your account, and "manage subscriptions", you should be able to add a subscription to your SR8 license, we cannot do that part for you.
Your older license subscription was indeed canceled. (It shows pending, until a year goes by)
