@rexbinary

The problem is the beta driver is still loaded, I suspect.

Try running the lat beta you had, and "uninstall SoftRAID"

restart and install 6.0.1 again. Does this fix this?

Upgraded to 6 after deleting all the betas, seems to work fine.  I just wish it wasn't so expensive forced upgrade.  I was perfectly happy with 5.

@softraid-support Unfortunately I already deleted the beta installers, and I'm not sure which one I was running anyway. Is there a different way to do this?

uninstall SoftRAID (utilities menu)

restart.

look in /Library/Extensions and /Library/StagedExtensions.

Is there a SoftRAID driver in either one?

@softraid-support Sorry for the delayed response. There are no SoftRAID files directly in those folders, but there is within subfolders. Please see attachment.

I resolved this with:

sudo kextcache --prune-staging

@rexbinary

Maybe you know:

What is the difference between these:

sudo kmutil clear-staging

sudo kextcache --prune-staging

I usually send users these:

sudo kmutil clear-staging

followed by:

sudo kextcache -i /

I purchased SoftRAID end of March 2018 for $179, and now you want me to upgrade so I can use your software for $99.99. That is a giant steaming pile of SH!#. Horrible way to treat your customers who have already spent a lot of money on overpriced software.

I already got softraid with Thunderbays i boughtin 2017-2018, but in 2018 i needed a function that i was told was not supported by the included softraid so i had to pay $179 to upgrade. And now you want another $100 so i can continue to have functionality. YOU PEOPLE ARE F'N STONED!
