Just to be clear about my prior post: 5.8 doesn't load with SIP disabled if Startup System Security is set to Full. If Startup System Security is None, then 5.8 will load with SIP enabled.

Using Command-R I rebooted in order to "csrutil disable" and turn System Security off. I then rebooted and the first thing I noticed was that my elegant SoftRAID icons were back on my OWC Express 4M2 and my OWC Thunderbay 6. I hadn't seen them since I moved to Catalina Beta 2 months ago. SoftRAID loaded without any hesitation or request to load the driver and life was finally back to normal.

Using Command-R I rebooted to apply "csrutil enable" and then rebooted again to discover that the icons were still there and SoftRAID loaded without any interruption.

Using Command-R I rebooted and set System Security to medium. I then rebooted and immediately noted that the SoftRAID icons had gone and SoftRAID complained when loaded that the driver had not been installed due to a bug in Catalina.

I have now simply turned off System Security and left csrutil enabled and I'm now back to a working system.

The one thing I have noticed is that throughput is down significantly. I ran a backup of my 4M2 to my Thunderbay 6 and it was running at almost half the speed that I am accustomed to.

At least I have made progress! :)

Set Startup System Security to none.

That appears to fix this.

Softraid 5.8 is working for me with CSR enabled and System Security off. Hoping we can turn that security back on soon.

iMac Pro 10 core

I have a MacBookPro 2018.
Hopefully You find a solution soon to give us back startup security ...

Good luck!
