Not to mention that there are zero repair tools for APFS (li,ke Disk Warrior), none are on the horizon, and APFS is not as bullet proof on MacOS as it appears to be on iphones. external devices are much more fragile in their directories than the locked internal drives of iPhones, iPads and the internal drives on Mac's.

I see so many corrupted APFS volume issues, Apple has to be seeing this internally also.

Thanks. And forum posts elsewhere suggest APFS not a good option for external spinning disks as leads to fragmentation.

SoftRAID does not yet support multiple containers correctly, we are working hard on getting full APFS support. We cannot convert volumes yet, nor erase an HFS as APFS at this time.
