There is a terminal command that may address part of this.

The SoftRAID UI is waiting for the cache to rebuild and it is not displaying anything until then.

Try the command:

 

kestcache -i /

and restart and see if that works.

The window has not dissappeared and when I reboot SoftRaid everything is gone.

Just set up everything again and needed to update OSX and afterwards Softraid to 5.8.4. 

Now the driver is stuck on installing or boot cache rebuilding. See screenshot.

I am super afraid of loosing everything that is on the Raid. I have been a bad boy and not backed up for at least a year or so.

Any suggestions as to how to solve this are greatly appreciated.
