welp...
Tried as suggested above. Ran each of the commands, reboot; uninstall softraid; reboot. Re-install softraid. Checked "allow" and the volume appeared - yay!
Rebooted, and the volume disappeared. appears in the softraid app, but does not mount.
Ran another report for tech support after doing as instructed - see attached.
Paste this into terminal and paste the output here:
kextload -v /Library/Extensions/SoftRAID.kext
Last login: Mon May 17 21:24:20 on console
andret@Andres-iMac ~ % kextload -v /Library/Extensions/SoftRAID.kext
Executing: /usr/bin/kmutil load -p /Library/Extensions/SoftRAID.kext

FYI - when I do the above command under sudo, the volume mounts.
@52bhamp
Try it as sudo:
sudo kextload -v /Library/Extensions/SoftRAID.kext
Let me know.
Progress. But the extensions should automatically load. Let me brainstorm with someone on this.
Yep - its almost like a weird work-around. I can reboot the computer and when the volume doesn't mount, I can just sudo the command you sent, and the volume mounts each time.
this is not good behavior, but it is a work around, until I can understand a way to get past this.
Can you both confirm that the SoftRAID driver is loaded in the subdirectory in /Library/Staged_Extensions/Extensions?
This is where Big Sur puts extensions that it copies into the extensions cache for faster loading at startup.
Can you both do this next restart. Run Activity Monitor. Show All Processes, CPU tab. In the search/filter box, type in kernel
Look for kernelmanagerd
Is it there?
It should be.
kernelmanagerd is running - see screenshot.
To your question earlier, i do not see a staged_extensions folder, but here is what I do see:

Running full Softraid 6.04 on iMac Pro. On restart no volumes will mount. If I uninstall and reinstall softraid volumes will mount but only until the next restart. I have 3 volumes and 3 Thunderbay 4 enclosures.
@52bhamp
What I want is restart. Save a SoftRAID tech support file and attach it. Then you can load the driver manually. I am looking for clues why the driver is not loading.
Pictures do not do much good, but a Support file is golden!
@allenat Are not those Black Magic extensions older?
Can you attach a support file again?
Are there updates available? I assume you are still using them? Do those extensions load?
@52bhamp
Try running these commands in terminal and lets see if this helps:
first, uninstall SoftRAID, utilities menu and restart.
Paste each line into terminal, one at at a time and hit enter:
sudo rm -r /Library/Extensions/BJUSBLoad.kext
sudo rm -r /Library/Extensions/CIJUSBLoad.kext
sudo kmutil clear-staging
sudo kextcache -i /
restart, install the SoftRAID driver and "Allow" OWC In system preferences/Security.
Does this fix anything?
Hi - I updated my BM drivers & software recently, but nothing on here is older than September of 2020 as I acquired this as a New Mac at that time, and did not restore from backup. The only "older" drivers would have been for my contour shuttle (which we uninstalled) their latest driver is from 2019. The oldest drivers are from my CalDigit Thunderbolt dock and my Epson Printer (Both from late 2019)
