Sorry, no prompt.
Uninstalled Tuxera
Support File attached
Can you both do this next restart. Run Activity Monitor. Show All Processes, CPU tab. In the search/filter box, type in kernel
Look for kernelmanagerd
Is it there?
It should be.
I have the same issue (and
sudo kextload -v /Library/Extensions/SoftRAID.kext
does succeed in mounting the volume).
kernelmanagerd is running.
I am also having this issue where the drives don't mount automatically. Went through the same process of uninstall, install, allow system extension.
Like the others, I saw the drives appear but when I performed the reboot the system extension asked for, the mounts disappeared.
Running the command
sudo kextload -v /Library/Extensions/SoftRAID.kext
mounts the disks so it appears I have a temporary solution but I would like this to work as expected.
I am attaching a support I created on reboot when the disks aren't mounted
and also a support file after I run the kextload command and the drives are mounted
Not to muddy the water, but ever since the 6.X versions of the drivers came out I get this error condition all the time now too:
SoftRAID Driver: One or more of the disks for the volume "-----------" (disk9) is no longer usable. The volume is now locked to prevent data corruption. Please restart your Mac to use this volume again.
I'm pretty dissatisfied at the minute and don't like my backup and offline storage solutions being so unreliable.
Similar problem here since 11.3.1: disks are not loaded. Uninstalled and reinstalled SR several times but no request fir allowing OWC’s extension although Softraid’s 6.0.4 kext is in staged extensions folder.
Already in touch with technical support and sent my report.
Really boring…
Thanks
Ps: Duet installed. Going to remove tomorrow and check.
There is a bug in Big Sur that I do not understand. Once the driver is loadable, it should auto load every restart. Something is blocking the driver, as it is approved for loading, it is in the extensions cache, so it is presented for loading.
are you booting up as an administrator? or a non admin user?
As with the other user, something in Big Sur is blocking the driver at startup. Let me ask also are you logging in as an admin ,or non admin user?
Installing now (2:20hrs needed). Here is 11:35 pm. Going to test tomorrow morning.
Simon
Admin user.
The volume locking is not part of this problem. You can try resetting NVRAM/PRAM to see if that helps.
I have an idea to test on this driver loading issue. I will post it to a few posters until we see if this helps:
Boot into internet recovery mode. Run the terminal.app.
Type this command in:
/usr/sbin/spctl kext-consent add Q9P8K45M5C
restart and see if the driver loads normally.

See the other comments, but try this:

Paste this command in:
/usr/sbin/spctl kext-consent add Q9P8K45M5C
