Having this same issue in macOS 11.6 with SoftRAID 6.05. Driver not loading automatically at startup so not mounting the drive. Ran terminal and manually loaded the driver and the drive mounted immediately. Has this been resolved by Apple and I need to do something on my side or is it still an ongoing issue with some Macs? I'm running a 2017 iMac. --Thanks

This is a Big Sur bug that Apple should be fixing at some point. You are lucky however, for most who see this, the driver never auto loads at restart. the easy way to get around this is loading the driver via terminal.app by pasteing this in:

sudo kmutil load -p /Library/Extensions/SoftRAID.kext

Note:
The "up" key in terminal will show prior commands, so next time you need to manually load SoftRAID, just hit the up arrow in the terminal window, and this command will be available without having to type it.
