Interestingly this always occurred across each of the last three machines I have used, going all the way back to Sierra.

I've also checked the DriverPreferences.plist and that appears to be correct for the UpdateInterval for NEVER (the integer changes when check updates is changed to day/week etc in preferences

the problem is getting this fixed in 5.8.4, as you are not going to be upgrading to 6.0.1.

Since this is not a generic bug, something specific must be triggering it in your case.

I am using SoftRaid 5.8.4 on Catalina. Since the new release of SR6 I am getting constant reminders multiple times a day to update/upgrade the application.

 

Since I have no intention of moving to BigSur any time soon I therefore have no requirement for SR6. But the only way to stop the constant notifications is to upgrade. I don't see why we should be forced to pay for an upgrade that we don't currently need just to remove the constant upgrade notifications?

 

Is there any way to stop the constant reminders? Aside from the annoyance factor,  I often run automated scripts and tasks to process digital files etc and the SoftRaid reminder screens popping up often interfere with those scripts.

 

I appreciate the need to notify but constant notifications throughout the day particularly when the upgrade is a paid for upgrade, is a bit much, especially as there appears to be no way to turn them off.
