It is showing as unknown format. My guess from looking at this, is this was a Time Machine volume from an older macOS, which was created when Time Machine supported HFS volumes.

It appears that MacOS installed an APFS volume inside the HFS volume, as Time Machine only works with APFS volumes now.

That explains why SoftRAID cannot delete it.

Is there still a second volume on the desktop? It appears to me it is mounted. Try unmounting that, see if SoftRAID can delete it.

if that does not work, let me know, there is a brute force way to delete the volume.

I have a drive that I erased in Disk Utility that is no longer recognized as the same drive in SoftRAID XT. The volume is now mounted in Finder, but it shows up as 'Unmounted' in SoftRAID XT.

Is there anything I can do to restore the link between the volume recognized by Finder and the ghost volume that's still in SoftRAID?

Background:
I have been having troubles deleting a Time Machine volume on my TB4 through SoftRAID XT because I kept getting the error message, 'An error occurred deleting the volume "". This disk is currently being used by another application. Please quit all other applications and try again'. Assuming this was caused by Time Machine I decided to erase the volume in Disk Utility.
