Hi, good to know.
What can I do if my test period is expired? I have 10 days remaining. Enter licence key every time I start/restart my iMac?
BTW: You donot need to give Monitor full disk access, just the Application. I believe the Monitor gets it's access from the SoftRAIDTool (driver)
ok, Monitor full disk access deactivated again
We have 6.0.2 coming ASAP to address this issue and a couple other small issues.
Thank you for your support 😀
For me it helped to enter the license key while being logged in with admin credentials. YMMV.
I have three OWC drives that all came with a full Softraid license... v6.01 doesn't allow me to enter in my licenses.
You know how the license area is 5 sections of 5 characters... I am able to enter in the first 6 characters without issues but then depending on the license
Thunderbay Flex8 - allows six characters, the 7th character in my license is L. It will not accept L. It allows other letters, numbers, but not L and L is the next letter in my license.
ThunderBlade - allows six characters, the 7th character in my license is R. It will not accept R. It allows other letters, numbers, but not R and R is the next letter in my license.
Accelsior 4M2 - allows seven characters, the 8th character in my license is T. It will not accept T. It allows other letters, numbers, but not T and T is the next letter in my license.
So.... any ideas?
You need to upgrade your license to run 6.0, as this is a upgrade, not an update.
Enter each of your licenses into this page, at least one should be a free upgrade, if not all of them.
that did it! After switching back to standard user the licence information is still present. Thank you very much 😀

So with my three items, the Thunderbay Flex 8, the Thunderblade SSD and the Accelsior 4M2 SSD, if I only use my Mac Pro or M1 Mac Mini... the upgrade to pro doesn't do anything for me that the regular included XT (or Lite) does, correct? My raids will still be the same type that you guys sent them to me in. Of course I need a different license in both machines.
Can the Thunderbay Flex8 be connected to my Mac Pro and M1 at the same time, showing up on both?
The M1 requires 6.0, as 5.8.4 does not run on the M1 or Big Sur
While the application and driver have many enhancements, they are not offering new features yet, not until we add full APFS support into 6.x, which we are working on now.
Updating the driver does not affect any existing RAID volumes, it is only a kernel extension update and does not affect the disks in any way.
I'm having maybe a related issue. Purchased the upgrade from SoftRAID 5 to 6 Pro, downloaded the new application + driver and have attempted multiple times to enter the serial number provided with the upgrade. However, nothing happens when I enter the serial number. It doesn't decline my entry with an error message, but neither does it confirm my serial number and exit the trial/evaluation mode. Any solutions? How long should it take for a serial number to become active?
Thanks!
Please attach SoftRAID Tech Support file and I can take a look. It should be instantaneous.
My expectation was an instantaneous response. Looking forward to a solution
