Are reads also 400MB/s, or are just writes slow?

It may just be CPU's cannot calculate much faster.

my thunderbays flex 8 seem to hve super slow speeds in raid 5 on MacOs 10.14.6, also big sur on i9 macbook pros and on macpro2013.

 

i get no more than 250-300MB/s in raid5. In Raid 0, i get 1.2GB/sec.

 

softraid is up to date on all macs. Do i need to make a firmware update somewhere? 

i got 3 thunderbay flex 8, 80tb toshiba enterprise 10tb drives.
