I have the Areca ARC-8050T2 8-Bay Thunderbolt 2 RAID and wanted to perhaps move to software based raids.

Just wanting to know if there was any way to bypass the hardware raid setup and only use Softraid so I have SMART monitoring of the drives. Does anyone know if this is possible?

Thanks
