                        <content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>I'm not sure of the right subforum, so I'll post here. I currently have two long in the tooth Drobo systems. For those unfamiliar with it, the system allows you to have (in my box) 5 drives of any size (don't have to be the same size), and any TWO can fail without losing any data. My extended warranty which I've used all too often on them is ending and instead of replacing them when future hardware problems hit, I was wondering if SoftRAID can do the same: Different disk sizes, tolerant for several drive failures. It seems as if Synology might, but I haven't investigated them in depth yet.</p>
