I'm looking at purchasing an OWS Thunderbay but oddly the price difference between just the caddy and the one with the bundled version of SoftRAID seems to be about the same price as buying the software separately.

I assume that the full retail version purchased directly will still work with the Thunderbay - is it as simple to setup?
