Will Smart data pass through the eSATA port of my OWCMercury Elite Pro Dual
Performance RAID Enclosure with USB3.1 Gen 1 and eSATA ports?

I am sold on SoftRaid now and ordered the above enclosure for backup. I realize the USB port will not pass SMART data but hope the eSATA will.

I plan on getting the ThunderBay 4 and a new Mac early next year when funds allow and SoftRaid will definitely be part of that system. I love the software. Thank you for making a great product.

I notice the software pulls data for my internal drives but my externals USB/Firewireshow no SMART data. Is this due to the nature of USB and Firewire drives or because the drives were not initialized by SoftRaid?
