Sorry, XT won't work, as this is a hardware RAID and SoftRAID is not bundled with these enclosures.

But if you want to use SoftRAID Lite, you can and you would set the switch to non RAID. (Note; this will wipe all data on the drives, if any)

Ok, the OWC Mercury Elite Pro Dock looks damn near the same as the Akitio Thunder3 RAID Station.

I know OWC bought Akitio ... is the MEP just a rebranded Akitio Thunder3?

Tried searching for this, but could only find that latest SoftRaid supports Akitio Thunder3 Quad, not the Akitio Thunder3 RAID Station.

Within SoftRaid, it refers to the Thunder3 RAID Station as "OWC MEP Dock Raid 1"

Do I need SoftRaid Pro for this?
