We are highly likely to do a SoftRAID 6 release with 10.16 being the base. We try to go back as far as possible with Mac OS. Currently we support back to 10.10. SoftRAID 6 may bump that up a couple releases, but no more. Does this statement imply that SoftRAID 6 will not be released until after MacOS 10.16 is released? Any updates on the timeline would be appreciated. It is going to be a big change to correctly support APFS. In your case, you can use one disk as Apple APFS format as a backup, and either use a 3 disk RAID for data, or use both/either time machine or Carbon Copy Cloner image backups on the RAID volume, depending on how much space you need in terms of files. (data) Does that mean there will not be a SoftRAID6 for 10.15? You know, a lot people do not run the latest greatest operating system.
