(Wonder if perhaps you bumped the drives when they were still powered on, or the enclosure was jarred enough to cause damage to the heads? that is a possiblity)

Hi all,

I have a Thunderbay 4 with 4x 3TB drives in there in what I believe is RAID 5. I always use it on my Bin MacPro (running macOS High Sierra 10.13.3). Apart from the day I set it up, I never had issues.

Today, I installed the SoftRaid Trial on my laptop to that my assistant can access the content of the RIAD without having to use my machine. Once the setup was finished, I rebooted the laptop, started softraid and plugged the Thunderbay. I started seeing a bunch of errors and got really worried. So I unmounted the volume, turned the lot off, and plugged it back onto my MacPro.

I'm now getting the same errors: All my 4 drives have "i/o Errors - data and parity disk - failed" in red. I'm extremely worried I'm losing all the drives in one go.

HELP!
