It could have been a connection issue, the disks ejecting from the bus, or a disk error.

If the disks passed a certify, though, they had to be reliable for that pass. So they can be put into service. Certify is a great test of your systems reliability overall but a disk is not the only thing that can cause a certify failure.]]></content:encoded>

I am a new user of SoftRAID.  Two day ago I made an attempt to certify a new out of- the-box 2 TB WD Red drive.  At about 1 TB on the first pass I had a certification failure with 4 errors.  I attempted to certify this same drive again.  This time it passed certification.  What might be going on with this drive?
