Should I really remove the drive I tried to add as it's rebuilding. It says

"rebuilding, waiting for mount"
It also says above that "RAID5 - degraded - safeguard enabled"

This is in addition to it saying it's unmounted and unknown format

Thanks for the quick reply. Question: I won't hurt anything by stopping the rebuild as it does say "rebuilding , waiting for mount" ?

It also says safeguard enabled.

Thanks.

This is a 5 disk 8TB HFS+ (OS-X) volume on a Mac Pro running 10.13.6. Also the volume notation on the SoftRAID app says unmounted and Unknown Format.

I have already rebooted a number of times and I did upgrade from 5.7 to 5.8 just in case that was the issue.

Please help.
