I have a few problems, actually. I hd A HD fail on my ThunderBay4 x2TB that's set up as a RAID 5. I mistakenly removed the wrong disk when I was trying to replace it with the new one. It seems my HDs were labeled A, B, C, & D inside the enclosure in reverse order than the lights above, so I pulled out "D" because it was labeled "A"... Thanks OWC :(

The first HD I removed, D, now says it's out-of-sync. I can't add the replacement drive until D is back in sync. SoftRAID says I need to backup the data, delete the volume, and recreate it, but I'm certain there's nothing wrong with D and I don't have 3TB of space elsewhere to move my entire backup. Is there a way to re-sync without reformatting my entire RAID 5?

Send a SoftRAID tech support file and I can take a look. (with all 4 disks attached)

@scatalogics

Sorry, you need to backup/create a new volume. There is no way to put this back together.
