Your volume says "non RAID" because it in fact is "non RAID" to the operating system. It is only RAID behind the hardware "fire wall". OS X cannot see the individual disks inside a hardware RAID.

So keep it as is. ;-)

I just purchased a Mercury Elite Pro Quad and installed the bundled SoftRAID XT 5.7.3. When I open the program, it is saying that the Mercury Elite Pro QX2 boxes are non-RAID disks.

They are set to RAID 5 and have been for years. What needs to be done so I can see the disks inside these RAIDs and have the program show the correct status of the drives?

Also, when I try to blink the disk lights I get the following message:

"Disk Not Supported

One or more of the disks you have selected are in an unsupported enclosure. This version of SoftRAID only supports disks in ThunderBay enclosures."

The software came bundled with my non-ThunderBay enclosure (Mercury Elite Pro Quad) purchased in late December 2018, so I am confused at how it doesn't support the box it came with.

Any help would be appreciated. Thank you.
