That disk is out of sync. This means it is not possible for SoftRAID to guarantee all data is intact. Instead of letting you add a disk and find out you have damaged files later, we insist you do a proper restore of the volume, so SoftRAID can protect your data long term.

It is possible all data will copy off your volume cleanly, it is possible a couple files will show damage, but better to find out now, than later.

So best practice demands we do not allow the adding of a disk to a volume that is out of sync.]]></content:encoded>

I've added an additional disc and now cannot add this disc to the volume, the error message I'm receiving is because one of the disks is out of sync.

I can mount the RAID Volume and access all the data. Is there a way I can rebuild the RAID without deleting the volume and recreating it as the error message suggests?]]></content:encoded>
