Why not consider Paragon NTFS support? They may have a Snow Leopard driver. I think the first read only capable version of macOS would be Mojave.

Let me clarify what is going on:

The RAID 1 array created by SoftRaid in Windows 10 is formatted to NTFS file system and I want to keep the filesystem as is, I do not want an HFS volume under Windows, the accessibility from OSX was not initially required but since I have discovered it is possible I wanted to know more about it...

When the very same Mac is booted in OSX 10.13 this NTFS array is visible from the Finder WITHOUT SoftRaid installed on Mac side, the default fresh OSX install is already able to acces it without additional software!

From what I can understand about your answer is that if I want to access this NTFS array from OSX 10.6 I need SofRaid 5.6.7 installed and this is fine, I perfectly understood this point: there is no native support from Apple for this under Snow Leopard, I can live with it.

My final question is: what is the oldest OSX version of the Apple Operating System I can install that NATIVELY support the NTFS SoftRaid array WITHOUT the need to install SoftRaid on Mac side? Of course I can answer to myself installing one OSX version after another and see when the array became visible on Mac desktop but if you know the answer it would save me a lot of time.

the windows version requires version 10.

SoftRAID for Snow Leopard (5.6.7) will mount the volumes.

Maybe the difference is you did not create HFS as the file system on your volume?

Thank you very much for your quick reply but I was talking about SoftRaid for Windows, installed in a separate disk and with a Raid 1 configured in Windows, I have not the Mac version installed.

Maybe I wasn't clear enough, I am sorry about that. My question was: I see the SoftRaid WINDOWS volumes (created in Windows 10) on the Mac side when I am in OSX 10.13, I don't see them in OSX 10.6 therefore with the current 2.1.1.3 version, what is the minimum OSX (10.7 .10.8, etc.) I can use to read SoftRaid volumes on the Mac side?

after the second time my Raid 1 built with Windows 10 embedded feature went RAW (making it unreadable) I decided to go for something more reliable and since I well know the solid reputation of SoftRaid I decided to go with it. After purchasing the license and made the installation instantly I felt at home...

My system is a MacPro 2010 with the following drive bays configuration:

1. Win10 64bit

2. MacOS X 10.6 (kept for Rosetta PPC support feature only)

3. SoftRaid disk 1a (4tb WD RED)

4. SoftRaid disk 1b (same as above)

After the SoftRaid installation and setup on Win10 side I've seen that on OSX the Raid was not shown and this was a step in advance if compared to the infamous Windows "Storage Spaces" where the Raid volumes were shown as unknown volumes asking every time if an initialize was needed...

However after swapping the OSX 10.6 with a fresh install of 10.13 the Win10 SoftRaid volumes were shown also on OSX side! Read only of course (and I am happy to not allow OSX to write its hidden system stuff everywhere) very nice indeed!

I have searched a bit the forums before putting my question here so I apologize if this has been answered elsewhere.

What is the minimum OSX version where the Win10 SoftRaid volumes can be shown and read also on Mac side? I mean, is there a way to see the Win10 SoftRaid volumes on OSX 10.6 or I must install a more recente version of Apple operating system? I would really like to keep the Snow Leopard install and be able to access the SoftRaid archive!
