Same problem on my 2014 MacMini. Upgrade to Big Sur 11.1 and driver doesn't mount. Tried the usual actions (reboot, reinstall, etc). Checked the Extensions list and SoftRAID 6.01b47 is there. So, I jumped to its directory and tried a kextload. Seems it's looking for something in a library somewhere. Document attached is .rtf.

Sorry for the complexity. We are trying our best to keep up with all the security restrictions. We are going to see about adding helper tools for all this in 6.x.

Also, did you enable "third party extensions" in internet recover mode?

This is likely from an obsolete extension. Go to to the folder /Library/Extensions.

"uninstall SoftRAID" from utilities menu.

Make sure Paragon is updated for Big Sur. It may be best to temporarily uninstall it, in case there is an extension causing the issue from the past.

Delete all the extensions in that folder. There are old leftover extensions in there.

run this command in terminal:

sudo kmutil clear-staging

followed by:

sudo kextcache -i /

restart.

Run SoftRAID.

Approve OWC as a developer.

(and enable Full disk access)

now, does your volume mount?

Attach a SoftRAID Tech support file now that you have made all the changes. Let me make sure the driver is loading and see if I can figure it out.

My OWC Thunderbolt 4-Bay won’t mount after the latest Big Sur 11.1 update. The drive can be detected and displayed in the SoftRAID app, as unmounted. Just it can’t be mounted again.

Tried the latest driver (uninstalled and re-installed, allowed developer in Security) - No luck.

Tried deleted all other extensions under /Library/Extensions - Again, no luck.

Any help?
