I have an OWC Express 4M2 with 4xSabrent Q Rocket Q 1TB NVMe. I've been using it for more than a year using Apple RAID but switched to SoftRAID when I needed it for another set of external drives. Once I switched, I started to get kernel panics in the IONVMeFamily driver. No reference to SoftRAID in the panic, just the Apple IONVMeFamily driver. This happened pretty much once every 24 hours for a week. I switched back to Apple RAID and everything has been stable for a couple of weeks now.
