Hi, installing Roxio Toast Titanium 19 Pro (burning software) on Big Sur 11.6 and present in SoftRAID 6.0.5 system with 4 m.2 nvme discs in raid 0.
The icon from the Finder of that disk disappears and becomes invisible to the system.
Only the SoftRAID software sees it.
Have any of you had any of these problems?
Is there any incompatibility between these software?
Thanks for clarification on this.

this is another symptom of a Big Sur bug, where it does not auto load drivers at startup.

Here is a solution for now. paste this into the terminal.app and your SoftRAID volume should mount:

sudo kmutil load -p /Library/Extensions/SoftRAID.kext

Note:
The "up" key in terminal will show prior commands, so next time you need to manually load SoftRAID, just hit the up arrow in the terminal window, and this command will be available without having to type it.

Do I have to do it every time the machine is started, I only need it once?

Thanks

At the moment, every time.

Note:
The "up" key in terminal will show prior commands, so next time you need to manually load SoftRAID, just hit the up arrow in the terminal window, and this command will be available without having to type it.

We hope in 6.1 we have a workaround for this, manually reloading the driver every restart. And Monterey should fix this.

The new version of Roxio Toast Titanium 20 Pro is out, I could solve the problem since it occurs when I install Toast.

Thanks.

@vinser

Try the SoftRAID 6.1 b18 beta, it should help the SoftRAID driver load.

You can use the same kmutil load -p option for your toast drivers, just enter the path to it/them and run it in terminal. At least until there is a permanent fix.
