It did ask to allow OWC as an identified developers before, but this time I was able to click the Allow in System Preferences>Security & Privacy pane. That was the missing link, coupled with the order of doing it (to work around all the Notifications that pop up). Have to ignore those the second time around since they won't go away after reinstalling the driver.

The driver is not loaded is the trigger for this.

Check in any case:

https://support.apple.com/en-lk/guide/mac-help/mchl768f7291/mac
Select reduced security and enable this:
Select the “Allow user management of kernel extensions from identified developers” checkbox to allow installation of software that uses legacy kernel extensions.

Then after restarting, uninstall SoftRAID driver, restart, then install the driver again. Do you get the System Preferences dialog to "Allow" OWC as an identified developer?

I am hoping it is one of these, it does not appear to be an extension issue.

Will do.

This CPU stands alone now and it is the only M1 I have, anyway. I had set the security prefs on my Intel machine a long time ago and will have to again when I re-install the OS and migrate the files as it will return (hopefully ASAP) from AppleCare Service 100% clean, the way it went out. Or I will make it so by erasing it.

Thanks for your response... I suspect so, but have tried to reduce the Startup Security level to "Reduced..." and it's a no-go. Pic is a screenshot of the other mounted (Apple MacOS) drives in the same enclosure. The RAID array and an extra Drive, no longer appear. Does the support doc give you any clues?

Also upgraded from macOS Big Sur 11.3 to 11.3.1 with no change to the condition.

My other drives in the same enclosure show up with no problem, but the RAID doesn't! It used to run on a MBP 2019 but now on M1 machine (and same OS, 11.3) it simply doesn't show on the desktop. There was some quick message as to Security settings that came up. The kicker is that in SoftRAID app it shows fine., Just won't mount via the app to the desktop.

Do I need to do something in Disk Utility to make that happen? Why??
