I hate to even mention it and put the idea into the universe, but just maybe the panics are resolved with 6.1. Any ETA for the next beta? Sorry about that. For many users, 11.5 fixes this. But it is not a "complete" fix. Its possible some older extension(s) is causing this. I do not know if any guaranteed workaround for this, except the terminal to manually load the driver. Hopefully this will be fixed in Big Sur, rather than Monterey.

Do an Uninstall SoftRAID in utilities menu. then clear the cache with these commands in terminal:

sudo kmutil clear-staging
sudo kextcache -i /

Now restart and install SoftRAID again, "Allow" OWC and see if this fixes the driver load issue.

They only happen every 2 weeks or so for me, so I'll keep you posted.

Side note: In another thread I mentioned that the driver/mounting issue appeared resolved for me on 11.5. Issue has reemerged after installing 6.1b3. Volume showed as unmounted, but manually loading the driver resolves it.

that is why I am thinking a piece of dust or something. there should be no reason for ejects on one bus and not the other. Thunderbolt is very sensitive to minor signal interference. give it a try, as the poster points out.

And make sure you are connecting it solidly.
