<p>-Select reduced security and enable this: Select the “Allow user management of kernel extensions from identified developers” checkbox to allow installation of software that uses legacy kernel extensions.<br />-After enabling third party extensions, reinstall the SoftRAID driver, and go to System Preferences / Security to "Allow" OWC as an identified developer</p>
<p>Then installing the latest beta, I've had zero mounting issues, zero issues using the product, and my workflow has sped up significantly. I feel as though my Thunderbays even perform better with this new system. If you're on the fence, take the plunge. M1 Max is amazing.</p>]]></content:encoded>

<p>Let me know how you are testing. best is using AJA System test, 16GB or 64GB file size, any high video resolution and RGBA codec.</p>]]></content:encoded>

<p>RAID 4 is the same functionality as RAID 4. On RAID 4, the RAID parity is on one disk, rather than spread among all 4 disks. But the end result with modern disks is the same.</p>
<p>Yes, with RAID 4, you have the same protection as RAID 5, if any disk fails the volume will still work.</p>]]></content:encoded>

<p>If you use RAID 4, you can bypsss this issue.</p>
