Questions:
when you unmount the volume, do you wait up to 2 minutes before unplugging cables?
(there is activity even after unmounting the volume, macOS is flushing the disk caches)

Is this a stable (nothing moves) scenario, or do you connect your volumes to different machines, sometimes connect/disconnect them, etc?

Are you booting into Windows environments? Are your SoftRAID volumes being used in Windows?

Because you have two machines and you said frequently, there is something about your scenario causing this. And, since there is no repair tool on macOS, that I am aware of for exFAT, I am sure it is frustrating.

Mac OS Cannot Repair the Disk, You can still open or copy files on the disk, but you can't save changes to files on the disk. Back up the disk and reformat it as soon as you can.

Any help in solving this issue would be greatly appreciated. Formatted as exFAT and RAID 5. Tired of rebuilding this RAID.
