secondary Volume missing repeatedly after warmboot

Hi,

my Raid1 shows an error everytime after warm-boot (secondary volume missing). After a coldboot softraid syncronises and everything is fine (until the next warmboot). What additional information do you need to help me solving this problem?

One of the drives is slow to spin up. You can set the Mirror time out in Mirror Preferences to 1 minute or two minutes. The disadvantage is the volume won't mount until the other disk shows up, or 1 Minute. But it will solve this issue. Try to figure out why one disk is taking more than 15 seconds to show up.

This is a common issue with HGST drives. I have 4x of them, and none show up after a warm boot - always have to cold boot to use the RAID.

In the old Mac Pro, this is a known hardware issue. I think the problem is the TLS setting on the drives.

Ok, thanks for the answer. I never heard of but what can i do to get rid of that? Is a third party app available to tweak the TLS settings?

Some drive manufacturers do have a way to change TLS settings. See if your manufacturer has a forum so you can ask. This is someting I do not know about.
