Thanks. I think I will stick with 5.8.3 until I am forced to upgrade to Big Sur. It works for me, especially when a hard drive needs replacing.

Is there a compelling reason to upgrade to 5.8.4 that makes dealing with the T2 issue worth it?

No, there will not be a 5.8.5, sorry, 6.0 was pushed ahead. Keep using 5.8.4 and disable "Check for updates" in SoftRAID preferences by setting it to never.

In the meantime, you can run 5.8.3, or disable Secure boot temporarily.
