Thanks for answering this. Good to know SoftRAID doesn't create or need them. Just realized the drive currently in the cloning process is a WD My Passport Wireless, which has networking capability (that I never use as connecting to iPhone and iPad just is too cumbersome), so of course there might be network drive related hidden files.
