Thank you. I was able to get the Avast app to release the files, and things now appear normal. I uploaded one of the suspicious files to a third party scanning site, and there was no virus found.]]></content:encoded>

Here are some of the file locations moved to the "virus chest"

/Applications/SoftRAID 5.7/SoftRAID 5.7.app/Contents/MacOS/SoftRAID

/Library/Extensions/OWC_SMART_Library.plugin/Contents/MacOS/OWC_SMART_Library

Is there a problem if I override this?  Is there a virus?
