I'm running SoftRID 6.2.1 on macOS Big Sur 11.6.5 on an Intel iMac. I have a 4 disk RAID 5 in a Mercury Elite Pro Quad enclosure that I am trying to expand but can not. I am aware that SoftRAID can only expand the last volume on a disk, so as such, I only have this single volume on these disks. All 4 of the disks show 4 TB available, but the resize volume shows the max size is equal to the current size. I have expanded this volume in the past when I went from 6TB disks to 12TB disks. Now that I'm at 16TB disks I don't seem to be able to expand the volume.

I read this post: https://forums.softraid.com/other-problems/cannot-resize-volume-with-lots-of-free-space/#post-15015

Could I be hitting what ever bug is mentioned there? Do I need to do some kind of work around?

@dcoke22

Yes you are hitting a bug. Use 6.0.5.

https://softraid.com/updates/SoftRAID%206.0.5.dmg

Run the 6.0.5 application, do not install the driver. Resize your volume, then go back to 6.2.1.

That appears to have worked. Thanks.
