Aha! The SoftRAID Lite XT quick start guide said nothing about the process of removing the damaged disk - it just said "Look at the front of the device and remove the disk with the blinking light." I actually looked for further instructions but didn't find any.

So, I just took out the failing disk, while the volume was mounted, and put in the new disk. I haven't saved anything since removing the failing disk. Should I put it back in and go through the procedure outlined in the video? If not, what should I do at this point. I initialized the new disk, but I can't add it to the volume (I also disabled protection).

Thanks!

How do I add the new disk to the RAID so it can be rebuilt?
