Disk Predicted to fail (but it's the system SSD?!)

I just got a "Disk Predicted to Fail" dialog. However, the disk with the error happens to be coming from the internal SSD (iMac). I've had the computer for about 2 years, and it's possible but unlikely for the SSD to degrade that quickly. That said, I'm less concerned about the boot drive failing, as it contains no business data, if it goes, it goes and I'll get it replaced.

But this is weird, I was unaware that SoftRAID even kept track of the non-RAID volumes. Furthermore, there's no log entry at all for the error, it was a single dialog, which I screen captured, and the Menubar icon has turned Yellow, but there's no indication anywhere in the SoftRAID program that there's anything wrong.

Here's the log:
Mar 13 14:39:43 - SoftRAID Monitor: Finished SMART test on all disks. No disks failed the SMART test.
Mar 15 14:50:31 - SoftRAID Application: Launching application: SoftRAID XT, version 5.8.2
Mar 15 21:17:05 - SoftRAID Application: Launching application: SoftRAID XT, version 5.8.2
Mar 15 21:17:53 - SoftRAID Application: Quitting application
Mar 15 21:20:01 - SoftRAID Application: Launching application: SoftRAID XT, version 5.8.2

Try downloading DriveDx as a trial and see if it agrees. We do have some bugs with SSD's and reporting errors. If DriveDX shows the same thing, then you know there is an issue developing. If not, then perhaps SoftRAID's is wrong.

Without getting each model of SSD in, it is impossible to keep up and there are no real standard for reporting on SSDs.

Ah! So all along I thought we got an SSD like on my MacPro, but it turns out we only fitted it with a 5400rpm HDD. DriveDx immediately gave me the same exact errors, drive is reallocating bad sectors, it's toast. Going to take in to the Mac Store and get it fitted with a brand new SSD. I'm extremely relieved, if I hadn't been running SoftRaid, I never would have known, and the drive would have crashed without any explanation.

I'll buy DriveDx, this is a seriously good utility to have.
