I truncated your query, as it makes the question too long and there is not much to understand from these (unless I suppose if you are an Apple engineer!)

However, I am happy to try to diagnose this, via a SoftRAID technical support file.

A verify disks is just a read, so this causing an application crash is very odd.

Also, the first time I loaded it I got a report that one of my RAID slices was about to fail.  Every subsequent time I have loaded the app (after a crash) it says the slice is fine.  How accurate is this software?
