We use a SoftRAID "enthusiast" to localize to German. We will bring this to his attention to update the language.

thanks for pointing this out.

Oh - my - god .... finally I understand what "Wahlfreier Zugriff - 15 mins" (german) mean. I googled it already and found nothing.

But now, I've looked in the OSX Console and there is the translation:

"Certifying the disk disk1 ..... with 3 passes and 15 minutes of random access testing"

Random Acces Testing!

That makes perfect sense.

Could you please fix this translation in the next release. I'm pretty sure, I'm not the only german guy, who has problems understanding this parameter :)

Or, which would be great, give a option to select the language in the Settings.
It's not a german-only problem :)
A lot of software has translation errors, some of them are translated so bad, that nothing makes sense xD (Google-Translator? xD)

In this case it's always very, VERY helpful to switch to the english version.

We do know english, and often, one german word can have many completely different meanings. Maybe, that's the reason we (Austria) and our neighbors (Germany) started a war in history ..... no, just kidding ;-)

"Wahlfreier Zugriff" ...well.... it makes no sense. Really no.
My best guess was something like "you have the right to access every xx minutes". Some softwareprocesses are so cpu- or i/o-consuming, that the software or gui does not become responsive for a long time. And I thought, with this setting, the software allows me every x minutes to manipulate the certify-job (for example for canceling).

So I wanted full control of the GUI at the best possible way and set the value to the lowest value - which now I understand - was the worst xD

Long text short: A language-switcher (or maybe just a checkbox to display the original english language) would reeeeally be great :)

Thank you very much :)
