We know this was caused by a USB bug. Its being looked at, but chances are, we can repair the damage, which appears to be limited to the partition map area.

You know your enclosure is connecting as USB2? That must also make it very slow!

Your choice then is wait until next week and engineering can take a look for you, or backup/restore. I think this is a USB "bug" that triggered this event, damaging the volume header. that is why the volume is showing "unknown" file system.

Something bad happened, not sure what. Its possible we may be able to repair part/all of this. Are you backed up?
Engineering won;'t be able to look at this until next week, which is why I ask that first.

If you are not sure, use a Finder copy. Or, if SuperDuper can copy "to a folder", or a disk image, and verify the data, that would take longer, but be best.
