RAID generally requires 1 disk for parity. (RAID 1+0 is 50% parity)

So your 4 24TB drives = 24*3=72 (and 25% is reserved for parity. with an 8 drive enclosure, 7 drives would be data, one for parity.

When i go to look at the specs in my computer however, it says there is only 72 TBs available. Is this a normal amount to be lost? what am i missing here?
