<p>Or you could create a RAID 1+0 volume, which is two sets of stripes, mirrored together, which gives you a single volume of 36TB capacity.</p>
<p>RAID 1 +0 is safe, has good performance, and may be what you are asking about.</p>]]></content:encoded>

<p>I recently got a Thunderbay 4 drive which I want to use in RAID 1 configuration.I currently have two 18 TB hard drives.If I add two more 18 TB drives and create a RAID 1 volume, will I have  a 36 TB mirrored with the other 36 TB or is it going to be same 18 TB copied on all 4 drives ?</p>
