RAID 5 will require a Pro license. SoftRAID is not bundled with the Helios products. (so not selected)

If you are running RAID 0, a SoftRAID Lite license would be enough. for RAID 5, then you need SoftRAID Pro.

Do I need to buy SoftRAID XT or SoftRAID Pro license for MERCURY HELIOS 3S with u2-shuttle?

u2-shuttle = 4x M2.ssd inside, so I want to raid 5 it

I see that "SoftRAID XT is only for select OWC storage solutions". So MERCURY HELIOS 3S with U2-shuttle is "selected OWC storage solution" or not?

So no license at all is needed.

Only if you have 2 U2's and you want to RAID them with SoftRAID, would you need a SoftRAID license.

Since RAID is unlikley to be needed with the U2 shuttle, SoftRAID is not required.

 

(And if you wanted to use SoftRAID only for RAID 0 (or 1), SoftRAID lite would be fine.
