The bug for this specific case was fixed in Big Sur, the symptom was when leaving the application open for long times, caused this error where the application lost contact with the Monitor widget. Generally it would take weeks to trigger, but sometimes on some user machines would trigger in a few hours.

The bug was a threading issue in Big Sur. There was no completions returned as the Monitor checked status of disks and volumes, and they would pile up. Big Sur fixed this and we also made a change to accommodate the fix. (at least this is how I understand it). This should fix this issue for Big Sur but there is no real fix for older OS's.

An internal part of the SoftRAID application has stopped functioning properly. Please quit SoftRAID and relaunch it.

There's no solution to this on your boards and no explanation of what's going on. Hence the uninstall. Except, and seriously, who does this ... the uninstaller is part of the software that won't work properly? Which lead to my preemptive PS about the CLI uninstall process. Because other people have requested this for the same reasons and been told (to whit) "you're too dumb to do it that way, and so we won't provide a solution".

PS - Please do not trot out the "Use the uninstaller" line. You have to know at this point that that doesn't work when the software won't load. Give us a method through the command line to do this, and stop assuming your customers aren't capable of performing this process on their own.

We do not support conveting HFS to APFS yet, that will take some time. As of today, there is not a major benefit to upgrading to 6.0 from Mojave, but we will be adding a lot of features in the next year to give you great value. thanks!
