I think I've managed to fix the problem. I put the second disk back in, the one that was the RAID pair with the first.
I would like to replace the drives with new 6TB drives (the old ones are 2 drives of 3TB each).
Can you please tell me the exact steps I need to take to avoid problems? I had tried to do it myself but this whole problem happened.
Maybe if you can list them step by step with the exact sequence numbers so I don't have any problems?
Thanks

I do not know of any other application to rebuild directories. What happens is they degrade over time, the only symptoms you may notice are slow window openings, for example. After an unclean shutdown, macos attempts to repair the directory, but has a very limited ability to fix things. When it fails, it may mark the volume as unmountable, or make the volume read only, but still mount it. Other times the damage is more severe to the Directory.

that is why Disk Warrior exists, many users have occasional issues mounting volumes. I consider it still an indispensable tool for keeping things running optimally.

Yes you could use Disk Drill for recovery, but you need to copy the data to another source, which is very tedious on large volumes.

Hello
I have decided to increase the space of my RAID 1 from 3TB to 6TB. However, I am now at a standstill that I can't solve because I had started the volume rebuild yesterday, but then had to shut down the computer. I thought the rebuild would restart this morning after I turned on the computer, but I see that Softraid waits until the volume is mounted to start again. However, the hard drive is there and I tried to mount it with Softraid but it doesn't seem to want to activate. What can I do?
The hard drive that is not being mounted is the 6TB.
I have a 2012 Mac Mini with the latest version of Catalina.
