You cannot convert your Mirror to RAID 5, sorry. I wonder if you are not better off with 2 RAID 1 volumes for now, and running SoftRAID for Windows. Later this year, we should have the more advanced RAID available.

I have a thunder bay 4 raid 5 thunderbolts 3 drive that has two 8tb drives in it. It is currently a raid 1 and almost full I want to add two more 8tb drives to it for a total of four drives and make it a raid 5 will I be able to just add the drives in and do it through soft raid or do I need to start over.

also I am using the thunder bay to store my plex media and want to switch to an intel nuc as my main plex pc to free up my mini for video stuff are there any issues switching from Mac softraid to window 10 soft raid with out losing data

thanks for the help
