Can I remove/hide it? It is not appropriate as all the disks used in the array are internal. Thanks. As an alternative, you may want to consider "removing" the drive from the sidbar. You simply click and drag the drive out form the sidebar and when you let go the drive disappears in a puff of smoke. The drive will remain mounted but will not be there to accidentally eject.
