I personally would go for the 8 bay, as it is less connectors. Having too many Thunderbolt enclosures in a chain is a problem on macs, maybe windows also, I don't have the experience.</p>
<p>I remember going to FireWire kitchens, where we could connect 20 FireWire devices together, and if the cables were high quality, it would work reliably. (slow, but reliable)</p>
<p>You cannot connect anywhere near that with Thunderbolt, with out devices hanging, ejecting, etc. So less is better.</p>]]></content:encoded>
